Dear New Brunswick Voter,

We are writing to ask you to vote for Column A (Caldwell, Varela and Seawood) in the
New Brunswick School Board election and mail your ballot as soon as possible before the
May 12, 2020 deadline. Together, we are facing one of the most challenging times in world
history. This is especially difficult for our children. It is extremely important to come together to
do everything we can to help our students get the best education possible. This includes
approving a plan for RWJ Barnabas Health to pay for and build a new $55 million elementary
school in our community and voting for the Column A Team.

Unfortunately, in today’s health and financial crisis there are people running for school board
attempting to divide the community and fight against the plan to build a new school. We cannot
afford to miss out on this opportunity to build a new public school AT NO COST to New
Brunswick residents. This school is more important than ever because it will include facilities to
provide the highest quality education possible and protect our children from health and
environmental challenges.

Who are the Column A candidates fighting for our students? Dr. Dale Caldwell is the parent
of a New Brunswick High School 10th grader and a former New Jersey School Board Member
of the Year. Patricia Varela is a New Brunswick graduate and parent. Emra Seawood is the
parent of a New Brunswick High School graduate and past PTO president of Redshaw and
Lincoln Schools. These candidates have extraordinary experience fighting for New Brunswick’s
children, while also looking out for New Brunswick’s taxpayers.

To ensure the safety of New Brunswick residents, voting in this election is BY MAIL-IN
BALLOTS ONLY. If you care about the well-being of New Brunswick students and
support $55 million in local tax-free dollars to build a new school for our students,
please Vote Column A to ensure our students are safe and get the best education possible.
